The Sholape Animashawun Foundation provides scholarships, humanitarian aid, and advocacy to communities in need — carrying forward a life devoted to service.
A Tribute
The Sholape Animashawun Foundation (SAF) was created to honor the memory of the late Mrs. Sholape Rashidat Animashawun, whose compassion for her community became the founding principle of this organization.
Her husband, Semiyu, served as president of the Nigerian Canadian Muslim Association (NCMA), which partnered closely with Toronto Police Service and local churches on community events — a spirit of partnership and service the foundation carries forward today.

A Decade of Impact
Every grant, donation, and scholarship is a continuation of one woman's legacy — here is where that legacy has reached so far.
Ongoing grants to students living with sickle cell disease enrolled in post-secondary institutions across Canada, in partnership with the Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario (SCAGO).
Donations to Badagry General Hospital, a local mosque, the Correctional Centre, and COVID-19 relief efforts.
200K donated to orphanages, plus scholarship grants awarded to two students based in Brampton.
4 scholarships awarded to Canadian students; ₦1 million shared among 10 students at Nigerian post-secondary institutions; a TV-sponsored lecture during Ramadan; and new collaborations with other charitable organizations.
Featured Program
For two students living with sickle cell disease entering or continuing post-secondary education in Ontario, run in partnership with SCAGO (Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario).
Past recipient: Christabel Oghinan, a medical sciences student pursuing a career as a hematologist.

Awarded annually to graduating Grade 12 students of Fletcher's Meadow Secondary School in Brampton who are continuing to post-secondary education.
